The rug’s warp and weft metaphorically represent the structure of the social fabric and, more precisely, of “a people that, regardless of gender, culture and religion are indeed all looking for inner peace and sanctity”.

It is precisely through such sharing of intentions that  Tirafkan’s works go beyond conflicting social relationships, starting a hopeful path towards a real, and not concealed, democracy, searching for an open and liberal community.
