Nuova Galleria Morone presents ORO&BLU, a fascinating journey through the works of some of the most important representatives of international contemporary art who have found particular meanings and suggestions in blue and gold, curated by VIttoria Coen.
The colours featured in the exhibition provide food for thought on the identities and personalities of the artists who have made them part of their poetics. Gold and blue are, in fact, among the most spiritual and magical colours on the palette; Yves Klein compares blue to the sea and sky but, above all, he defines it as a colour “outside”. Gold is a symbol of royalty, of preciousness, of uniqueness, in both Western and Eastern cultures.
The group exhibition offers a comparison between different generations of artists, from the avant-garde of the twentieth century to the contemporary, a significant body of works representing memories and visions of the recent past.
