The title of the collective exhibition AA.VV. of Italian and international artists is an acronym of biographies with diverse authors that contributed to the realization of a book.
In this way, throughout the evolution in time of the concept of art book, especially in contemporary art, the process of growth of the concept of “artist’s book” which embraces an open dialogue between the artist and the space is easily identifiable. The gallery environment transforms itself, between objects and real installations, in all the possible diverse solutions. The book represents a set of ideas that take shape and that take on a very important physical appearance.
Through the work of some of the masters of historical avant-gardes in dialogue with contemporary artists’ works, the diachronic path intends to deepen the theme of change, of the genetic mutation of the artist’s book. References, suggestions and sensitivities change from the Historical Conceptual to the more recent experimentations.
