questo silenzio intorno | Domenico Grenci con Eugenia Delbue

Nuova Galleria Morone presents questo silenzio intorno (This Silence Around), a project by Domenico Grenci with Eugenia Delbue. The exhibition takes shape around an investigation of portraiture that unfolds through a concrete and ongoing relationship between the one who depicts and the one who poses. The project makes visible a correspondence between painter and model, between an active gaze and a received gaze, calling into question the unidirectional nature of representation and asking who, within the process, ultimately describes whom. Beginning in January 2025, Domenico Grenci and Eugenia Delbue meet in the studio and in outdoor settings to give form to a process grounded in attention, listening, and presence. During long sessions of stillness, Delbue poses while Grenci portrays her face from...

Due convessi | T-Yong Chung 정득용

Nuova Galleria Morone is pleased to present “Due convessi” a solo exhibition by T-Yong Chung (Daegu, South Korea, 1977), curated by Roberto Lacarbonara. Every image represents a point of contact — the moment where two convex surfaces meet: the eye and the world. This intersection defines a space of connection and mutual penetration, revealing the depth and intensity of the invisible encounter between the self and reality. Since the early formulations of perspective, following Brunelleschi’s studies, the construction of an image has been anchored to the vertical plane of the visual pyramid that links the observer’s gaze to reality. In T-Yong Chung’s work, however, vision emerges differently — not from a dominant subject or fixed viewpoint, but from a reciprocity between worlds,...

Conversazione - Marco Grimaldi

Conversazione | Marco Grimaldi

Nuova Galleria Morone opens its new exhibition season with the inauguration of Marco Grimaldi. Conversazione, featuring the artist’s latest body of work. Marco Grimaldi (Udine, 1967), who has enjoyed a long and established collaboration with the gallery, presents on this important occasion a selection of new works—some created specifically for the exhibition—that belong to the most recent phase of his coherent pictorial research. In this series, “color, in its subtle conjectures between iridescences and haziness that challenge the repeated regularity of geometric hypotheses, seeks in the elusive the consistency of a revealing light.” In this cycle, Grimaldi shows a stronger focus on “bringing painting inward to touch the chords of an intimacy where feeling prevails over reason.” His reflection thus centers...

Ancora l’alba | Madelaine Gamondés

Nuova Galleria Morone presents Ancora l’alba (“Still the Dawn”), the first solo exhibition in Italy by Argentine artist Madelaine Gamondés. This multidisciplinary project weaves together textile art and sound composition to explore the multiplicity of being. After the darkest night, the dawn still rises. Following the death of her father, Madelaine Gamondés constructs a symbolic universe centered on the figure of the benteveo, a South American bird that, within the artist’s family history, has always represented her father's presence. Its song, physiology, colors, and the shape of its eggs: each element becomes a trace from which the artist begins her exploration of the subtle thread—fragile yet powerful—that binds life and memory. From the sound wave of the benteveo’s song, the artist extracts silhouettes that...

Intorno-Esterno Ugo La Pietra

Interno-Esterno | UGO LA PIETRA

Nuova Galleria Morone presents Ugo La Pietra's first solo gallery exhibition, curated by Elisabetta Longari. Ugo La Pietra's exhibition Interno-Esterno (Interior-Exterior) focuses on the relationship between people and the environment that surrounds them, both in private and public spaces. His work primarily aims to bring the viewer to full awareness of the dynamics that govern our way of living and interacting with the space that inevitably influences our behaviour and shapes our everyday life. La Pietra breaks traditional patterns, paving the way for new ways of perceiving and relating to space. His approach highlights the possibility of environments and objects being transformed from static elements or barriers that delimit, instead into tools for connecting interior and exterior, stimulating action and suggesting a...

VISTI PER CASO | ADRIANO ALTAMIRA

Nuova Galleria Morone presents Visti per Caso, the first solo exhibition by Adriano Altamira in the gallery’s space. The series Visti per Caso—from which the exhibition takes its name—originated between the late 1990s and the early 2000s. This photographic project developed from the chance discovery of objects and the unexpected encounter of disparate elements. The exhibition is therefore organized around a collection of small artifacts and objets trouvés, which, through photographic enlargement, acquire a new and ambiguous identity. On display, the original artifacts—sources of inspiration for the new works—are presented in small plexiglass cases alongside their enlarged photographic counterparts. The artwork thus emerges from the dialogue between the physicality of the object and its photographic reinterpretation. In the Visti per Caso series,...

UNA PIETRA SOPRA | MARCO CORDERO

Nuova Galleria Morone presents Una pietra sopra, the first solo exhibition in the gallery spaces of Marco Cordero, accompanied by a critical text edited by Paul Ardenne. The exhibition is a deep exploration of the intersections between sculpture, text and memory. The main element of Marco Cordero's sculptures is a book, a real book, which the artist appropriates but reworks: hollowed out, burned, torn from its function as a book. In his work, the book becomes a living organism, an assemblage of materials that, through their combination, acquire a vital arrangement. In this exhibition, Marco Cordero links the fate of his books to rock, stone, and marble. This combination gives rise to surprising hybrids: books as rocks or rocks as books....

ALFABETO BLANCO | GIOVANNI BLANCO

Nuova Galleria Morone presents Alfabeto Blanco, an exhibition by Giovanni Blanco (Ragusa, 1980) curated by Gabriele Salvaterra. Dark joys for a Blanco archive. When one remains locked up in the most asphyxiated physical and mental spaces, where air does not circulate at all, it becomes vital to cling on to something, to start again with the most basic and even stupid actions in order to find a foothold thanks to which one can climb out of the well. One turns to one's own personal archive, to a private Atlas , to the collection of images that through randomness, carelessness and laziness are accumulated and set aside for years on banal photocopied media. We are in front of the practice of repetition,...

Una giornata

UNA GIORNATA

Nuova Galleria Morone presents the group exhibition 'Una giornata' (One Day) curated by Roberto Lacarbonara. The exhibition is conceived from the works of eight Italian and international artists who place time, - the Bergsonian relationship between subjective experience and measure, the perception of places and actions as a function of atmospheres, sensations and personal imagination - at the centre of their sign, pictorial and photographic research. If the works emerge from a methodological practice of great rationality and preordained design principles, their aesthetics define an ephemeral, transitory, vulnerable condition, where it is the slight and nuanced variations that sample a space often devoid of representation, but densely acted upon by having spent that time, that experience. The works on display arise from processes of...
